Choose Courage
Scripture Readings
Joshua 1:9
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
2 Timothy 1:7
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.”
Psalm 27:14
“Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”

Morning Meditation
Sit comfortably.
Breathe in slowly…
hold for a moment…
exhale with intention.
Courage is not loud.
It is often quiet, steady, and internal.
Feel strength settling into your body.
Not the absence of fear—but the willingness to move anyway.
God does not ask you to be fearless.
He asks you to be faithful.

Reflection | Devotional Thought
Courage is obedience in motion.
It’s showing up when you’re uncertain.
It’s telling the truth when silence feels safer.
It’s continuing forward when the outcome isn’t guaranteed.
Biblical courage isn’t about bravery for applause—it’s about trust under pressure. God doesn’t remove fear before He calls us forward; He walks with us through it.
Ask yourself today:
• Where is courage required of me right now?
• What step have I delayed because I’m waiting to feel “ready”?
• How can I act in faith even if fear is still present?
Courage grows through action.
Faith strengthens with movement.

Morning Prayer
Father God,
Thank You for being my strength when mine feels limited.
Help me choose courage over comfort today.
When fear tries to stop me, remind me that You walk with me.
Give me clarity, boldness, and peace as I take the next right step.
Let my courage reflect my trust in You—not my confidence in myself.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

Quote — Jarvus Ricardo Hester
“Courage is faith deciding to move before certainty arrives.”

Quote- Audre Lorde
“When I dare to be powerful—to use my strength in the service of my vision—it becomes less and less important whether I am afraid.”
✨ Mood: grounded strength, quiet resolve, forward motion.
Today, choose courage—even if your voice shakes.
