A tragedy unfolded in Flatbush, Brooklyn, when a one-month-old baby was found dead inside his family’s apartment.
Police were called Saturday evening to the home on Veronica Place after the infant’s grandmother requested a wellness check. Responding officers discovered the baby, Adonnys Kendall, inside a duffel bag in a closet. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The child’s mother, Gynae Kendall, 25, has been charged with concealment of a human corpse.
Authorities say the medical examiner will determine both the cause of death and how long the infant had been deceased.
Neighbors and community members are left grappling with heartbreak as authorities investigate the circumstances surrounding this devastating loss.
