Trusting God in the Waiting

Scripture Readings

Lamentations 3:31–33

“For no one is cast off by the Lord forever. Though He brings grief, He will show compassion, so great is His unfailing love.”

Proverbs 3:5–6

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

Morning Meditation

Close your eyes.

Take a slow breath in…

And let it out, releasing the urge to rush.

Waiting can feel uncomfortable.

It can feel like nothing is happening.

But waiting is not empty.

It is a sacred space where God is aligning what you cannot yet see.

Picture yourself resting instead of striving.

God is not late.

He is intentional.

This pause has purpose.

Reflection Devotional Thought

Faith is often tested most in the waiting. Trusting God means believing that He is working even when there is no visible movement.

Ask yourself today:

• What am I being asked to release control over?

• How can I remain faithful without immediate answers?

• What kind of strength is God building in me right now?

Waiting does not weaken faith.

It refines it.

Morning Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Help me trust You when the process feels slow and the outcome is unclear.

Give me peace in this season of waiting.

Strengthen my heart, steady my mind, and remind me that Your timing is perfect.

I choose patience and trust today.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Quote — Jarvus Ricardo Hester

“Waiting isn’t wasted time. It’s where faith learns to breathe.”

Quote for Social Overlay | Black Thought Leader

“Sometimes God uses waiting to teach us trust instead of control.”
